The subwoofer smells burnt?
Hello, I have a Hifonics BXi12-BP with 400 watt rms I operate it with the Gladen Rc600c1 with 360 watt rms but when I use the amplifier with the gain turned up 3/4 the sub starts to smell of electronics.
I’m doing everything right?
Hello, I have a subwoofer with 2×1500 watt Rms in my Audi A4 B5.
I currently have a power amplifier from hifonics, with 1000 watts but no rms. In front of it is a hifonics 5.0 capacitor.
My only question is which power amplifiers are there that bring out pretty much the maximum performance?
Thanks in advance 🙂
Hello, I bought the above mentioned subwoofer with 1200 watts (2x 300w rms).
Unfortunately I can’t find a suitable power amplifier. I need one with 2 channels with 300w rms each at 3 ohms or not?
Can you suggest some for me? Of course, cheap is good.
Do I need an additional battery? I will also install a capacitor.
I’m desperate: ((
I bought a subwoofer from Ground Zero (1,000 watt rms), plus a power amplifier from Hifonics (Brutus 1,500 watt rms at 1 ohm).
I drive an older Daihatsu Terios (battery 45 Ah, “300A”, the alternator has about 50-70 A I guess ..)
Do I have to install an additional battery for the power amplifier (for optimal use)??
I’ve been looking for days, please, PLEASE HELP.
I have a Logitech z5500 system and when I listen to music at full volume for a long time, the subwoofer starts to smell burned. What could that be? It has been like this for a year and so far had no problems at all with it, but slowly that worries me.
I have to buy a Hifonics MR10DUAL dual bandpass system Sub with a nominal load capacity of 800 W / RMS (impedance: 4 + 4 ohms).
The should be operated with the Hifonics BXi-2000D Brutus B3 power amplifier. This delivers 1000 watts RMS @ 1 ohm.
In principle, it should be good to buy a power amplifier with around 20% more power so that it doesn’t always reach its limits.
But now my question is whether it plays a role that the double sub delivers 2x 4 ohms and the output stage can absorb 1 ohm.
The other way around that would be a problem, but what about in this case?
Thanks in advance.
I have a subwoofer from Hifonics, the Zrx12 to be more precise and the auto goods seller said it had to be an amplifier for about 350 € in the case of the zrx9002, I hadn’t imagined that much, I thought more of the Gti1500 from Crunch who go? A friend of mine has the rxa1000d and even thinks that it is sufficient, someone can explain to me why, for example, 500watt rms bwi 4 ohm cannot be connected to 250watt rms ohm?
Hello, I have a subwoofer with 100 watts, which don’t give me too much buzz .. I also have a big house and want really fat bass and wanted to ask whether this is something for me or whether this is a car subwoofer etc, I also wanted to ask how strong the humming is. Thank you in advance 🙂
Hi folks, I have an empty case of a Syrincs BP 10-200 standing around here. As you know, there are Rcf drivers in there. Now to my question, does someone have such a sub and can tell me what kind of driver belongs in there?
Have searched a little. The specified value is 200 watts rms at 4 ohms. I only found a 10 “Rcf subwoofer driver with 8 ohms and 200 watts rms in the network. (RCF L10 / 568H) Link: https://www.thomann.de/de/rcf_l10568h_tieftoener.htm can I install the problem-free?
Thanks in advance Mfg mtbundbmxprofi.
Hello, I wanted to ask if this subwoofer is worth it? Or has someone made experiences with this subwoofer?
I currently have a power amplifier from Ampire with 1000 watts and 500 watts rms.
The subwoofer has 1000 watts and 500 watts rms.
I noticed yesterday that my PC started to smell like burnt electronics then I turned it off and turned it on again after about 6 hours and it didn’t smell that way anymore, at the moment it doesn’t smell burnt or something like it he smelled very warm too what was that? My father suspects it is the power supply .
Right now I’m totally desperate about my subwoofer in the car. Two days ago the thing suddenly became very quiet during operation, so quiet that I couldn’t hear it while driving, turned right and looked into the trunk, the subwoofer was still very quietly audible but very scratchy, because before that my first suspicion was that something has burnt through, I paid attention to whether it smelled burnt, but it wasn’t. Power amplifier still on and not in protect mode.
Second guess signal from radio, other outputs tested, no difference. Another signal source (cell phone) connected to the power amplifier, no difference. Another power amplifier connected, no difference. But I can’t even imagine that the subwoofer is screwed up.
I had it running on about 375 watts and it has 450 watts Rms, 800 watts peak and is from hifonics from the Zeus series. Are there any other options or is it one hundred percent the subwoofer itself?
So I admit I have no idea about something like that .. Got a Mac Audio Subwoofer STX110 BP and a Hifonics Titan power amplifier from a buddy. there are chinch cables with 4 connections each at the ends. I want to connect it to my stereo system (about 15 years old) you can tell me how to do it?
Hello dear people.
I bought a new power amplifier today. Hifonics Titan TX1200 D with 1200 rms and wanted to run my Emphaser EXt4 with 700 rms and the coils of the subwoofer probably didn’t do that and went up in smoke. The question now is how much can a power amplifier have more than a subwoofer and what would you recommend me what the new woofer should have at least. I put a photo of the whole thing.
Thank you in advance.
Hello I have an amplifier that Hifonics TSI1500-1 plays on 2 Gladen RS 12 so runs on 2 ohms so 1000 watts. After the amplifier burned out, either due to insufficient power or because something was already broken, according to the stand on the repair slip, I added an Exide Maxxima EP 450 to my power supply, which consisted of 35mm2 solid copper cables and a Hifonics HFC 1000. However, the Protect Led on the Bass Remote still flashes, the more the amplifier is turned up, the more it flashes, so it does not light up continuously but flashes. When I connect the bass remote to the amplifier, the protect LED on the amplifier does not light up regardless of how much it is turned up. I have absolutely no idea why that is, because when the gain is turned up to 50%, the Protect on the bass remote flashes clearly, the voltage fluctuates by a maximum of 0.4 V from 14V to 13.6V.
The full voltage also arrives at the amplifier, it cannot be grounded either, it comes directly from the Maxxima. Thank you for your answers 😉
